The Tuffet is a private, stylish studio nestled in the fynbos with uninterrupted views of the Outeniqua mountains and Rondevlei lake. The cottage has a luxurious king-size bed and ensuite bathroom with a spacious shower overlooking a quaint garden. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Pet-friendly, off the grid, and equipped with a smart air conditioning system, Wi-Fi, TV, Netflix and an indoor fireplace, this cottage has all the luxuries for extra comfort and relaxation.
The Tuffet has its own private cocktail pool/wood-fired hot tub, as well as an outdoor dining area, gas braai and fire pit. Abundant plant and birdlife are right at your doorstep. Listen to bird song while you make your morning coffee. Let your dogs explore the fynbos. Unwind in the pool while the sunset paints the sky or gaze up at the Milky Way on a clear night.
The cottage is a short stroll away from our farm trails and shared pool area where guests can relax and marvel at views of the lake and mountains. Equleni borders the Wilderness National Park, so guests can walk straight from the farm to visit the nearby bird hide or hike along the Cape Dune Molerat Trail.
The stay was everything we wanted and more cannot recommend enough, thank you Diane for making it so memorable.

What a beautiful little escape! 🤩 We absolutely loved our stay at The Tuffet. From the moment we arrived, everything was thoughtfully set out for us, including beautiful music playing in the background that immediately gave us that “we’re officially on holiday” feeling. The atmosphere was warm, peaceful and incredibly relaxing.The cottage is cosy, stylish and wonderfully private, surrounded by nature with gorgeous views. It really feels secluded without feeling isolated. The walking trails near the farm were an added bonus.My absolute favourite was the private wood-fired hot tub 😁, I honestly couldn’t get enough of it! Relaxing in the warm water while taking in the peaceful surroundings was such a treat.Diane was a fantastic host and communicated everything to a T. Check-in and check-out were completely seamless and we had proper privacy throughout our stay.A beautiful, romantic Garden Route escape. We would happily return. Thank you Diane, for such a warm and memorable stay! 💙

This was our 3rd time visiting the Equleni farm and second time at the tuffet cabin. Absolutely love this place! So private and peaceful! And the hottub is magical! Highly recommend!
