Ronnie is back again

I have stayed over several times now, but am always in awe of the peace, tranquillity and nature that surrounds Equleni farm. It is difficult to leave this haven of peace by the water, but once you do, one’s body and soul is replenished and fulfilled. Not only is the location and nature of the farm outstanding, but the cottages are out of this world. They are spacious, luxurious and well maintained and have all the creature comforts that are unexpected. This includes a braai on the huge elevated deck, which offers an amazing view over Rondevlei and even more astounding sunsets. A pit fire next to the cottage is also present, from which sundowners and a braai can be enjoyed. Once the braai is over, marshmallows are provided to roast over the fire. The walk-in shower is perfect, with a view out over the lake. The double bed is huge and comfortable. The cottage is decorated and furnished with one-of-a-kind things and further provides a free spirited atmosphere.

The early morning walks around the farm through the fynbos is just the best start of the day and sets the mark for the rest of the day, with a stroll down to the Rondevlei Parks Board bird hide and relaxing at the farm pool located near the cottages. There are many other places of interest to see and visit near the farm, such as a beach walk to Gerrickes point, forest walks in Wilderness and MTB rides.

The owners, Ant and Dianne ensure that all one’s needs are met and that the stay is pleasurable and stress free.

What a place! Will stay over at Equleni Guest Farm time and again!

Carine – WOW! Thank You.

So at last I have some time today to write my perfect review about visiting Equleni Guest Farm just more than a month ago!!! Wow wow wow…what an awesome treasure this place is. So tranquil and quiet with the most beautiful views of sunrise when our days started early, Fynbos/Lagoon view and Sunsets when we relax on the patio and listen to all the little birds and insects in the field. We had an awesome experience staying in MOO MOO with our two FURRKIDS Roulie 3, and Maxie 2. They even enjoyed the Farm more than us might I say lol. Went for early runs with Dad and lots of fun with Mom on the beaches, then the best;late afternoon playtime on the Dunes. They knew all the little trails by day 2.

We where welcomed by Diane’s Husband when we first arrived at the Farm together with lots of friendly playful barks by their 3 Furrkids and more friendly waves by the staff:)
The cabin was neatly left for us with EVERYTHING needed in there. From spices, marshmallows, a lighter, matches, a starter pile of fire wood ready at the fire pit, books, games, coffee/tea, dish washing soap, hand wash, shower gel, air freshener, toilet paper, feet mats to ice and two comfy bath gowns, cotton wool, a welcome chocolate and you name it!!! EVERYTHING was there. Next time I definitely know what not to pack in as extras. Thank you Diane for the well organised Cabin with all your goodies and special treats. We where overwhelmed by this – IMPRESSIVE.
I was also impressed with all the hangers and the LAUNDRY BASKET. Oh and I remember I only saw the SWIM TOWELS on our last day, wow Brilliant thinking. Ill definitely make use of them next time. I packed in plenty for us and the doggies.

Equleni Guest Farm is perfectly situated. So close to Sedgefield. We needed some more Ice and Tonic water one afternoon and quickly drove there and back with no effort.

The swimming pool area is so nicely set up, Chris used the pool every day. I will take a swim when we visit in summer. LOL the water was 14 degrees :)The huge fire pit might also come in handy when we are a group booking in future.
We are sooooo looking forward to that!

Thank you again to an awesome Host and Hostess and to all the staff at Equleni Guest Farm. We had a ball!
We have no complains – maybe an outside shower pipe will be an advantage and a drain pipe for the water to go onto the plants or grass or somewhere not to be wasted. a cement floor so that you or the doggies dont stand on the grass while rinsing.) however i tried to sweep and mop in the morning and in the afternoons:)

We loved the private fire pit way at the bottom of our yard, it was so nice sitting there and watching the sun go down with my furrkids.
Oh and they had a JOL chasing moles and digging in sand and running around the cabin, chasing each other on the grass where we could see them all the time.
They had to bath every day. lol

What a Wonderful, UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAY!
See you all one day soon

Kind regards
Carine and Chris vn Westhuizen
