Regeneration

This is the place in the Garden Route to breathe easy, get creative and enjoy the smell of fynbos.

Our stay at Equleni Guest Farm was regenerating and just what we needed. To recharge, reconnect and spend some time in nature.

With Rondevlei lake and the Outeniqua Mountains as your backdrop and the farm as your playground it was wonderful to be able to wake up to such perfection in the morning, shower looking out at Rondevlei lake, explore the farm and enjoy the birdlife. While being able to pop out to our favorite farmers market 5 minutes away and to Gerickes Point for a swim only 8 minutes from the farm.

Guests receive free coffee, juices, rusks and homemade granola on arrival! A free coffee at Wild Oats Farmers Market from Kingston Cafe as well as breakfast vouchers to use at the market – compliments of Equleni (The market is every Saturday. Look out for Kingston Cafes yellow umbrella! Their coffee is absolutely divine!!).

We could not have asked for more warm or accommodating hosts (Thank you Anthony and Diane)!!! The luxurious yet comfortable feel of the cottage and extra attention to detail at every turn were so appreciated. It made it feel like your ultimate home away from home with a flare of luxury!

The perfect getaway into the bush where you can lounge out at the farm, go for long walks, read, binge watch netflix or go explore the local forests or beaches. At night light a bonfire and relax under the endless expanse of stars.

If you’re feeling really adventurous you can join Anthony (The owner of Equleni) on a motorbike tour (He runs Adventure Classics!). Ant and Diane’s love of where they live is evident at every turn and expressed throughout the farm.

Sedgefield has always felt like home. Equleni solidified that feeling.
To sum up our stay – Equleni means “Peace by the water”.
Which is exactly what you will get, and more!

What a lovely place! We were delighted with the stunning setting and the beautiful cottage with impeccable finishes and detail. The views from every room is simply beautiful, starting with the Rondevlei fresh-water lake in the foreground, to the Outeniqua Mountains on the horizon. The place is quiet and tranquil, with birds singing from Fynbos in front of the cottage, and sunlight reflecting from the beautiful lake. Our hosts were very friendly, and quick to attend to any requests with quiet efficiency. I was impressed with the attention to detail, from the fresh fruit juice in the fridge, to the giant marshmallows provided for evenings around the fire-pit. The luxurious Egyptian-cotton bedding and quality furniture, added to an air of luxury. We will miss the place dearly, and will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved staying at your cabin and can’t wait to come back. The relaxed atmosphere, impeccable attention to detail, surprising extra touches, services offered, incredible location and views and the perfect warm hospitality made our little holiday and we didn’t want to leave. Thank you

We found this gem on the way down to Cape Town and our only regret is that we didn’t plan to stay longer. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and beautifully done, with a large wooden cabin / deck facing directly onto a lake. A huge bonus for us was that it’s pet friendly so our two dogs could come along, with access to great walking routes right outside your front door. Dianne was extremely responsive and very welcoming. An excellent option on the Garden Route if you’re looking for something quiet and relaxing away from the busy tourist areas, but still within easy striking distance of the best the Garden Route has to offer.

What a treat. The beautifully appointed bedroom and living space, in a tranquil and peaceful setting on a farm, with a view across the vlei, and close to Sedgefield and the main beaches. What more could one possibly want or need? Thank you Ant and Diane for your awesome hospitality.
